About Me

I am a barrister and solicitor based in London, Ontario. I strive to provide professional, courteous and timely legal services in a culturally competent manner. After graduating from Western University’s Faculty of Law, I had the privilege of articling with Dr. Todd Weiler, who specializes in the field of investment treaty arbitration. After working with several small firms as an Associate with a focus on Family and Child Protection Law, I founded Mahmud Law with the goal of enhancing access to justice for under-serviced communities. I proudly accept Legal Aid Certificates for Family matters and 2 hour Domestic Violence Advice Certificates.

My advocacy work includes providing pro bono legal services to the national human rights advocacy organization, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, serving as chair of the Justice and Protective Services sub-council of the London and Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership, and serving as a board member of Women & Politics, London.

I am a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Middlesex Law Association, the Middlesex Family Law Association, the Ontario Association of Child Protection Lawyers, the International Commission of Jurists, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the Canadian Muslims Lawyers Association.
